Word to the Wise was founded by Jo McErvale; a professional communicator with more than 16 years' experience in purposeful and passionate writing, media production and project management.
A qualified journalist, Jo has written for The Age newspaper in Melbourne and worked in broadcast production for ABC Television News and Current Affairs. She has been a broadcast journalism educator and media advisor in remote Papua New Guinea and contributed to program development and communications for not-for-profit Australian-based development agencies Oxfam Australia and the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
Jo's concise editing and copywriting capacity, and tell-it-straight style, will ensure no apostrophes are abused on the way to achieving your communications potential. A collaborative, problem-solving approach means projects always begin with the development of a clear brief and an agreed sense for how the planned product will fit within your broader business and communications strategies.

"I feel very privileged to have found Jo, not only is she a great person but her writing skills are superb. She was tasked with unlocking my every thought and then putting them eloquently into meaningful writing... She has great experience but you can see that it's her love of her craft that makes all the difference. For quality writing and advice Jo has me as a customer for life and I am looking forward to our continued collaboration!"Liam RandallFounder, Australian Cuisine
